Life is a journey, not the final destination. Misery in this world exists but nothing is permanent in this world, not even this world. Interrogation with yourself in the midst of vague vapors is so important that we do not lose ourselves in replication of some unchaste dreams. It is natural to sulk in gloomy weather. The thoughtfulness comes when the mind questions and when the background image is not the background anymore.
Why oppression doesn’t seem unusual? It’s because rights and wrongs are judged based on the parameters of the societal traditions and culture instead of Islamic preaching and practices. It is certainly a disgrace that we are taught to tolerate injustice, but what is more alarming is that we are taught to not question the wrong and pretend like everything is acceptable. Islam has always taught us the finest values like patience and perseverance. What we imply from that is that silence is okay even when there is injustice.
Allah definitely rewards people who endure all the trials of this world keeping a firm belief in the might of Almighty. Dissolute conduct and its doer is whether a sinful person or not is only known to Allah. Great men and women in Islam have always stood against oppression and also have warned the people against practicing it, so why do we not think before hurting the sentiments of our fellow brothers and sisters? Grief or no-grief, this is not the sole podium of our existence. Allah knows everything and there is life after death, is the only truth in this contaminated stage full of marionettes.
Justice might not be served here prudentially but we are promised by our Almighty that each and every living being that ever existed in this world will rightfully be served justice, even if it’s a baby goat without horns who has been oppressed by the goat with horns. The court of justice in the hereafter is unescapable and every person will be erected from the ground on the day of judgement.
The thought of death should always be at the back of our minds, as people who think about life after death more than life of this world are certainly among the wise ones. The life of this world is like a drop in the ocean which will not matter anymore. Whether a man lives on a street or in a glorified mansion, he will only carry a baggage of his ‘aamal’ with him and nothing else.
There is still an aspiring chance for us to turn towards our supreme being, bow down in prostration and ask for forgiveness as the life after death is unseen but not unlikely.
